Major changes in Australia women’s cricket schedule after ICC decision

Lahore (Sports Desk): Following a change in the schedule of the Women’s Champions Trophy by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Cricket Australia has also been forced to revise its women’s cricket programme.

According to foreign media reports, the Women’s Champions Trophy, which was earlier scheduled for June, will now be held between February and March.

Due to this change, Australia’s women’s cricket season schedule has been affected, prompting Cricket Australia to issue a revised programme.

Previously, the tournament was overlapping with Australia and New Zealand series, making the schedule adjustment unavoidable.

Under the new schedule, the New Zealand women’s team will tour Australia for a T20 series in October and a One Day series in March.

Similarly, the Bangladesh women’s team, which was earlier scheduled to play three ODIs and three T20 matches in October, will now only play three ODI matches under the revised plan.

These adjustments have been made to maintain harmony in the international cricket calendar.
