ISPR confirms intense intelligence-based operations (IBOs) executed across Mastung, Nushki, Zehri, Khuzdar, and Ketch districts
In a major counter-terrorism breakthrough following the tragic train incident on May 24, Pakistan's Security Forces have eliminated 17 high-value terrorists during a relentless series of Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) across multiple flashpoints in Balochistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the targeted operations spanned the strategic districts of Mastung, Nushki, Zehri, Khuzdar, and Ketch. Acting on precise intelligence, troops effectively engaged multiple terrorist hideouts, triggering intense and fierce exchanges of fire.
Formidable Blow to Foreign-Sponsored Networks; Massive Cache of Explosives Recovered
The military's media wing confirmed that the 17 killed terrorists belonged to the Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Hindustan network. The successful operations have dealt a crippling blow to the infrastructure and operational capabilities of the group in the region.
"Weapons, ammunition, a large cache of explosives, and fully prepared Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were recovered from the neutralized terrorists. These individuals remained actively involved in orchestrating high-profile terrorist activities across Balochistan." — ISPR Statement
Sanitization Operations Continue Under Vision "Azm-e-Istehkam"
The ISPR emphasized that sanitization operations are currently underway to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining facilitators or remnants in these areas.
The military reiterated its unshakeable resolve to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism, noting that the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign will continue at full pace under the federal government's vision "Azm-e-Istehkam," as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan (NAP).
