Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party former patron-in-chief Jahangir Khan Tareen has announced the establishment of two modern educational institutions—one for boys and one for girls—in Pishin district of Balochistan, with an estimated cost of Rs1 billion.
He made the announcement while addressing an event held at the inauguration of a state-of-the-art computer laboratory established with the support of the Tareen Education Foundation at Government Queen Mary Graduate College, Lahore.
The newly established computer laboratory aims to provide female students with access to modern digital learning tools and technology, enabling them to acquire skills required in today’s competitive environment.
Speaking on the occasion, Tareen emphasized that the future of the younger generation is directly linked to modern education and technological advancement. He said his foundation is actively working to expand educational opportunities for underprivileged communities.
He added that the Tareen Education Foundation is currently supporting more than 225 educational institutions, focusing on improving infrastructure, facilities, and the quality of education.
Highlighting his personal connection with Balochistan, Tareen said his tribe originally belonged to the province before settling in Multan. In recognition of this link, he announced the establishment of two high-quality schools in Pishin.
College Principal Dr. Sidra Amir said the newly inaugurated computer lab is equipped with modern facilities and will significantly enhance students’ academic and professional prospects.
