FIA Foils Major Cheating Attempt in Quetta Recruitment Test, Fake Candidate Arrested

QUETTA: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle has foiled a major attempt to manipulate the recruitment process in Quetta. A fake candidate was caught red-handed while attempting to take a physical fitness test on behalf of his cousin. The suspect was identified through advanced biometric verification and face-matching technology deployed at the examination center.

Fraud Uncovered at Ayub Stadium Sports Complex

According to an FIA spokesperson, the operation took place at the examination center established at Ayub Stadium Sports Complex, Quetta, where physical fitness tests were being conducted for the posts of Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), and Constable.

During the verification process, officials at the verification counter examined documents and carried out biometric and face-matching checks, which exposed the impersonation attempt. During initial questioning, the suspect admitted that he had appeared for the test in place of his cousin in an effort to help him obtain a government job through illegal means.

FIR Registered, Fake Documents Seized

The FIA Anti-Corruption Circle immediately took the suspect into custody and confiscated all forged documents and identification cards found in his possession. An FIR has been registered against the accused, while further investigations are underway to arrest his cousin and identify any other individuals involved in the fraud.

FIA Announces Zero-Tolerance Policy

FIA officials reiterated that the recruitment process is fully transparent and supported by modern biometric technology.

“The entire recruitment process is equipped with advanced biometric systems and is conducted with complete transparency. A zero-tolerance policy is being enforced against anyone attempting to compromise merit or manipulate the examination system.”

Officials further warned that anyone found involved in recruitment fraud will face immediate arrest, criminal prosecution, and may be permanently disqualified from future government employment opportunities.
