Dutch Delegation Visits SIFC, Receives Briefing on Investment Opportunities

A high-level Dutch business delegation, led by Netherlands Ambassador Robert-Jan Siegert, visited the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) as part of efforts to promote foreign investment in Pakistan.

During the visit, Dr. Jahanzeb, Secretary of the SIFC Apex Committee, briefed the delegation in detail on the council’s one-window facilitation services and profitable investment opportunities in Pakistan. The delegation was also informed about the extensive investment potential in various Special Economic Zones (SEZs), including Karachi Industrial Park and Bin Qasim Industrial Park.

The meeting also featured detailed discussions on promoting bilateral trade under the Generalised System of Preferences Plus (GSP+) framework and the business reforms currently underway in Pakistan. According to experts, strengthening trade and investment ties with the Netherlands could significantly boost Pakistan’s exports, industrial activity and employment opportunities.
