Security Operations in Balochistan: Four Terrorists Killed, Major Wajahat Shaheed
Security forces have killed four terrorists belonging to the Indian-backed organisation “Fitna al-Hindustan” during operations in Balochistan’s Gwadar and Kalat districts, while Major Wajahat Waheed of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom in a landmine blast in Pasni.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intelligence-based operations were conducted against terrorist hideouts in Shadi Kaur, in Pasni tehsil of Gwadar district, and Jhatakabad in Kalat district.
The first operation was carried out on October 18 in Jhatakabad, Kalat, based on intelligence information. Security forces surrounded the terrorists’ hideout, and following an intense exchange of fire, four terrorists were killed. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from their possession.
In the second incident, during a clearance operation in Shadi Kaur, Pasni tehsil, an improvised explosive device (IED) targeted a vehicle belonging to the security forces’ advancing team. As a result of the blast, 34-year-old Major Wajahat Waheed, a resident of Lahore who was leading the team, embraced martyrdom while defending the motherland.
According to ISPR, sanitisation operations are continuing to clear the area of terrorists. Under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee of the National Action Plan, security forces remain committed to continuing their comprehensive campaign until foreign-sponsored terrorism is completely eradicated.
