Balochistan government is preparing a budget exceeding Rs1100 billion for the next fiscal year, with major allocations expected for education, health, public welfare, and law and order sectors. According to sources in the provincial Finance Department, Balochistan Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani will present the budget in the Provincial Assembly. The government is also planning to keep the budget in surplus.
Officials said that the education sector is likely to receive the largest allocation, with over Rs150 billion proposed for improving schools, access, and quality of education across the province.
Significant funds are also expected to be allocated for the health sector, basic public services, and security-related expenditures, reflecting the government’s focus on human development and stability.
Sources added that a proposal to increase salaries and allowances of government employees in line with federal government policies is also under consideration, though final approval will be made at the time of budget presentation.
The upcoming budget will prioritize development projects, infrastructure improvement, and social welfare programs aimed at accelerating growth and improving living standards in the province.
Officials further stated that the budget preparation process has entered its final stages, with financial proposals from different departments being finalized.
