Women’s T20 Tri-Series: Pakistan lose to West Indies by 25 runs

Dublin (Sports Desk) — In the opening match of the Women’s T20 Tri-Series, the Pakistan women’s team suffered a 25-run defeat against West Indies.

West Indies, after winning the toss, opted to bat first and posted 199 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

For West Indies, Jenelle Glasgow scored 42 runs, captain Hayley Matthews made 40, and Stafanie Taylor contributed 39 runs, delivering key performances.

For Pakistan, Nashra Sandhu and Rameen Shamim took 2 wickets each, while Diana Baig claimed one wicket.

Chasing the target, the Pakistan women’s team managed 174 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.

For Pakistan, Aliya Riaz scored 37, Saira Jabeen 30, captain Fatima Sana 27, and Eman Javed 24 runs.
