National Hockey Team Players Paid Rs45 Million in Dues

Lahore (Sports Desk): The Pakistan Hockey Federation has paid a total of Rs45 million in outstanding dues to the national hockey team players, providing them with significant relief ahead of upcoming international competitions.

The federation cleared all players’ dues in advance before the national team's departure for the Pro League. The amount includes the prize money announced by Shehbaz Sharif, the bonus for qualifying for the World Cup, and daily allowances.

This marks the first time that national hockey team players have received all their financial dues in full before participating in an international event.

According to Mohyuddin Wani, each player has been paid approximately Rs700,000 for the Pro League and Rs1.5 million for qualifying for the World Cup.

He further stated that players have also been paid a daily allowance of $110 per person to ensure they do not face any financial difficulties during their stay abroad.

The national hockey team will play four Pro League matches against the host team Belgium and Spain from June 13 to 20 in Belgium. From June 23 to 27 in England, the team will participate in four more matches against India and England.

Following the Pro League, the national team will compete in the Hockey World Cup to be held in Netherlands and Belgium from August 14 to 30, where the Green Shirts will showcase their abilities.
