Ankara (Monitoring Desk)Türkiye has introduced its first intercontinental ballistic missile “Yıldırım Han” in a significant defense milestone, showcased during an ongoing defense exhibition in Istanbul.
According to Turkish media, the advanced missile is the result of technology developed by the Ministry of Defense’s Research and Development Center, incorporating state-of-the-art defense features.
Officials say the “Yıldırım Han” missile can travel at speeds up to 25 times faster than the speed of sound and has a strike range of up to 6,000 kilometers, placing it among modern long-range weapon systems.
Reports indicate that the missile uses liquid nitrogen tetroxide as fuel and is equipped with four powerful rocket engines, significantly enhancing its performance and strike capability.
Experts note that the unveiling comes at a time when Türkiye is heavily investing in its defense industry, including missile technology, drones, air defense systems, and space programs—developments that could impact the regional balance of power.
