Turbat Power Crisis Deepens: Low Voltage and 45°C Heat Trigger Health issues

The residents of Turbat are grappling with a severe electricity crisis as temperatures soar to 45°C. The situation is exacerbated by critically low voltage—dropping below 100V on express feeders—leaving citizens vulnerable to extreme heat and a rising threat of Dengue fever.

Low Voltage Paralyzes Daily Life Amid Heatwave

Despite the scorching heat, prolonged power outages have become the norm in Turbat. Even during the night, the voltage level remains insufficient to operate basic fans or cooling appliances. This technical failure has created a dire situation for the elderly and children, who are unable to find respite from the oppressive weather.

Rising Dengue Cases and Public Health Risks

Health experts have raised alarms as Dengue cases emerge in the region. The lack of electricity prevents residents from using preventive measures, leaving them at the mercy of mosquitoes during the night. Without stable power, the risk of a larger outbreak intensifies as sanitation and personal protection efforts are hindered.

Urgent Appeal to Authorities

Local citizens have called upon the relevant authorities and power distribution companies to take immediate notice of the low voltage issue. They are demanding an emergency relief plan to restore stable electricity supply to prevent further health complications and economic distress
