In Gujarat's Kutch district, authorities reportedly demolished three historic mosques and several shrines over the past few days, triggering widespread tension across the area.

According to the Indian publication Hindustan Gazette, the municipal administration, operating under the BJP-led state government, carried out the demolition without issuing prior legal notices to the mosque committees or local residents.

Threats Against Those Seeking Answers, Crackdown on Protesters

Following the demolitions, local Muslims reportedly sought explanations from security forces and civil authorities. According to the report, they were instead threatened with legal consequences.

When members of the Muslim community organized peaceful protests against the demolition of religious sites, police launched a crackdown. Authorities reportedly arrested 25 Muslim youths and transferred them to jail, creating fear and uncertainty among local residents.

"The Modi government continues to use state machinery to advance its Hindutva ideology, while violations of the constitutional and fundamental rights of minorities have become increasingly common," the report stated.
