Severe Heatwave in Britain and Europe; Schools Closed

London — Britain, Italy, Spain, France, and much of Europe are currently experiencing a severe and record-breaking heatwave that has significantly disrupted daily life. Due to this intense weather event, linked to climate change, emergency measures have been introduced across several European countries.

According to the British broadcaster BBC, temperatures in southern England reached 35.7°C, marking an unusually high reading for the season.

In response to the extreme heat and humidity, British authorities have taken emergency measures. International news agencies report that more than 1,000 schools have been temporarily closed across the country to protect students and teachers from heatstroke and other heat-related illnesses.

"The current heatwave has become extremely dangerous for human health," meteorological experts warned. "Closing schools was necessary to protect children from extreme heat and scorching temperatures."

Europe-Wide Alert: Emergency Measures in Effect

In addition to Britain, countries including Italy, Spain, and France are also experiencing intense heat, with temperatures in many cities rising well above seasonal averages. Residents have been advised to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities.
