On PM Shehbaz Sharif's Directives, Every Possible Facility Will Be Provided to Pilgrims," Affirms Federal Minister
MAKKAH: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, has arrived in Saudi Arabia to oversee the welfare of pilgrims. During his visit, he inspected the main office of the Pakistan Hajj Mission in Aziziya to review the ongoing Hajj operations. Secretary Religious Affairs Abrar Ahmed Mirza accompanied the minister.
A comprehensive briefing was given to the Minister by Director General (DG) Hajj Abdul Wahab Soumro, Chief Coordinator Makkah Dr. Mirza Ali Mahsood, Coordinator Makkah Zulfiqar Khan, and Director Makkah Arif Rao. Additionally, Director Hajj Madinah Zahid Sohail and Coordinator Madinah Kashif Hussain joined the review session via Zoom.
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf stated:
"In line with the Prime Minister's vision, the comfort and ease of Pakistani pilgrims are being ensured at all costs. Serving the guests of Allah is a sacred responsibility, and no negligence will be tolerated."
The Minister highly commended the Saudi government for their exemplary arrangements and directed the Pakistani Hajj administration to make the grievance redressal mechanism even more efficient for immediate relief. Secretary Abrar Ahmed Mirza added that the planning phases are being further integrated to sustain these high standards in the coming years.
Accommodation, Transport, and Catering Services: Key Briefing Highlights
DG Hajj Abdul Wahab Soumro informed the federal minister that the Pakistan Hajj Mission is currently hosting around 119,000 state-sponsored pilgrims. To accommodate them, 273 residential buildings have been secured across major sectors in Makkah, including Aziziya, Hayy-al-Naseem, and Batha Quraish.
