: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the deployment of Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in Balochistan’s Rakhshan Division to ensure security for the province’s mineral sector and establish a dedicated security corridor in the region.

According to sources, the move aims to safeguard key mining projects, particularly the Reko Diq project, while strengthening investor confidence and promoting the development of mineral resources in Balochistan.

Officials said the enhanced security measures are expected to facilitate economic activity, attract foreign investment, and support the long-term growth of Pakistan’s mining sector.

The government considers Balochistan’s mineral resources vital for the country’s economic future and is focusing on improving security and infrastructure around strategic projects in the province.
