A high-level, 11-member Chinese business delegation led by Qian Xiaojun, Founder, President, and Controlling Shareholder of IBI Beijing United Technology, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House to discuss bilateral trade and digital transformation.
Strengthening Pak-China Economic Ties
Welcoming the delegation to Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the deep-rooted, historic ties between Pakistan and China. He lauded China’s remarkable economic progress achieved under the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping. The Prime Minister also noted that he is looks forward to his upcoming official visit to China later this month to further solidify bilateral cooperation.
The Prime Minister highly commended IBI Group’s strategic decision to establish its Digital Economy Headquarters in Pakistan, expressing satisfaction over the growing business-to-business (B2B) collaboration between the two nations.
"It is highly encouraging that IBI Digital will actively promote economic cooperation, boost investment, and foster industrial synergy between Pakistan and China," PM Shehbaz Sharif stated.
Boosting Pakistani SMEs and Market Access
Expressing strong confidence in Pakistan's economic potential, Mr. Qian Xiaojun stated that IBI is fully committed to supporting digital reforms within the Pakistani economy.
He highlighted that the establishment of the digital headquarters will serve as a catalyst for growth, offering immense opportunities for Pakistan’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) by providing them direct access to the massive Chinese market.
This high-level visit serves as a follow-up to the Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference held during the Prime Minister’s visit to Beijing in September 2025.
