Governor Balochistan Leads Delegation to Beijing for 75 Years of Pakistan-China Friendship
BEIJING: Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, accompanied by a multi-party delegation of political leaders from across Pakistan, has arrived in Beijing to participate in the Diamond Jubilee celebrations marking 75 years of Pakistan-China friendship.
The visit is being viewed as an important step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding future strategic partnerships between the two countries.
According to an official statement, the delegation represents national unity and collective commitment toward development and regional cooperation.
During the visit, delegation members will review China’s progress in solar energy, observe technological innovations at Silicon Street, and explore the country’s cultural heritage and modernization initiatives.
The delegation is also scheduled to meet senior officials of the Communist Party of China to discuss regional and global political developments, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and future areas of strategic cooperation.
Governor Mandokhail said the Diamond Jubilee celebrations reflected the strength of the longstanding Pakistan-China relationship, describing CPEC as the central pillar of bilateral cooperation.
He termed Gwadar the “crown jewel” of CPEC and said the project would transform Balochistan into a major global hub for trade, investment, and innovation once completed.
The governor also expressed his commitment to improving public sector universities in Balochistan and expanding scholarship opportunities for students and youth.
He described the 75-year partnership between Pakistan and China as an “unshakeable bond” guiding both nations toward a shared future of prosperity and development.
The week-long visit includes several prominent political leaders, including PPP Senator Saleem Mandviwala, former Balochistan chief minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, JUI-F Senator Kamran Murtaza, Balochistan Home Minister Mir Zia Langau, Provincial Minister Muhammad Khan Lehri, and other senior political figures.
