Washington (Monitoring Desk) — A powerful explosion at a shipyard in the Staten Island area of New York has left one person dead and 36 others injured.
According to reports, a fire broke out in the basement of shipping docks during ongoing rescue operations, when a sudden explosion further worsened the situation.
