CTD Kills Nine Militants in Quetta Operation, Four Personnel Martyred

QUETTA: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Balochistan carried out a major intelligence-based operation against militants in the outskirts of Quetta, killing nine terrorists during an exchange of fire, according to provincial government officials.

Balochistan government spokesperson for interior affairs, Babar Yousafzai, said the operation was conducted in the Nohsar and Panjpai areas following intelligence reports regarding the presence of militants linked to Fitna al-Hindustan.

He said CTD personnel bravely confronted the terrorists during the operation. Four CTD officials embraced martyrdom while six others sustained injuries in the exchange.

Yousafzai stated that operations against Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij would continue and reiterated the government’s resolve to eliminate terrorism from the province.

“No one will be allowed to disturb the peace of Balochistan,” he said.

The provincial government also expressed condolences to the families of the martyred personnel and paid tribute to their sacrifices.

“Our martyrs are our pride,” Yousafzai said, adding that the injured officials would be provided with the best possible medical treatment.

Security forces have intensified counterterrorism operations across Balochistan amid ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability in the province.
