Armed resistance against the Taliban regime in Afghanistan has reportedly intensified, raising serious questions about the interim government’s claims of maintaining effective control and law and order across the country. Anti-Taliban armed groups, including the Afghanistan Freedom Front, Afghanistan United Front and Afghan Green Trend, have claimed responsibility for coordinated attacks in several provinces.

According to the Afghanistan Freedom Front, seven targeted operations were carried out over the past 24 hours in Ghor, Badakhshan, Ghazni, Zabul, Kandahar and Parwan. The group claims that nine Taliban administration personnel were killed and more than nine others were injured in these operations.

Meanwhile, the Afghanistan United Front claimed that a Taliban vehicle was targeted in the Qarabagh area of Kabul, killing two personnel on the spot and injuring another.

Separately, the Afghan Green Trend claimed that a vehicle carrying Taliban intelligence personnel was attacked in Faizabad, the capital of Badakhshan province. According to the group, two personnel were seriously injured and transferred to a nearby hospital.
