22nd session of State Defence Conference in Balochistan, discussion on peace, development and security measures

Quetta (Balochistan News Desk) The 22nd session of the State Defence Conference was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, in which the security situation, development projects, and governance matters in the province were reviewed in detail.

The meeting was attended by the Corps Commander Balochistan, provincial ministers, senior civil and military officials, representatives of federal and provincial institutions, as well as officials from the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and Pakistan Coast Guard.

According to details, the conference is held every 21 days, where implementation of previous decisions is reviewed, and it is considered an important coordination and accountability forum.

Participants were instructed to utilize all available resources to ensure development and public welfare in Balochistan.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that this forum serves as an important platform for effective implementation of peace, security, and development policies in the province, adding that it is the state’s responsibility to ensure that the benefits of development reach the common people.

The meeting also reviewed the process of repatriation of Afghan refugees and directed that their return be ensured in a dignified, safe, and organized manner while keeping humanitarian aspects in view.

Participants paid tribute to the sacrifices of security forces, police, and the public, and special homage was paid to martyred Lady Constable Malik Naz who lost her life in the line of duty.
