Lahore (Commerce Desk) On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Director General Food Punjab has continued the wheat procurement process across the province, with a large number of farmers participating.
According to DG Food Punjab Amjad Hafeez, 63,313 farmers have so far completed their registration, while the registration process is ongoing at 233 wheat procurement centers established across the province.
He further stated that 14 companies are participating in the wheat procurement process in Punjab, while the Food Department has 1,862,428 metric tons of bardana (gunny bags) available, which is being provided for the procurement campaign.
