US reveals $25 billion spending on Iran-related tensions, Pentagon issues first official estimate

Washington (Monitoring Desk) A senior Pentagon official has revealed that the United States has spent approximately $25 billion so far on military activities related to tensions with Iran.

According to media reports, the Pentagon has presented its first official estimate regarding the costs of ongoing Iran-related military operations and regional tensions.

Comptroller Jules Hurst told members of the House Armed Services Committee that the majority of this amount was spent on weapons production and military preparedness.

However, he did not provide detailed clarification on which specific expenses were included in the estimate, nor whether it covers potential costs related to reconstruction or infrastructure affected by conflicts in the Middle East.

Committee senior Democratic member Adam Smith called the development significant, stating that this is the first time such an estimate has been officially presented by the government, something that has long been demanded.
