Mumbai: Renowned Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee has revealed that he has seriously considered quitting acting on several occasions, but unique and compelling roles have always drawn him back to the profession.
The 57-year-old actor, who has been part of the Indian film industry for more than three decades, said in a recent interview that he now wants to explore different experiences in his artistic journey. According to him, he is interested in working in commercial and comedy films so that audiences can see a new side of him beyond serious and emotionally intense characters.
Manoj Bajpayee said that over the past ten years, the thought of leaving acting crossed his mind many times. However, each time, an interesting role came his way and convinced him to continue his career.
He emphasized that he does not want to act merely for financial reasons. Instead, he wishes to take on only those roles that provide him with creative satisfaction and personal happiness.
The actor, who rose to prominence with the acclaimed film Satya, said that he currently feels drawn toward working in a full-fledged entertaining comedy film. According to him, he would like to be part of a project that focuses on light-hearted humor and entertainment rather than intense drama and seriousness.
