SIFC Accelerates Expansion of Pakistan’s Motorway Network; Work on M-12 and M-13 Intensified

New Motorway Projects from Sambrial to Rawalpindi to Reduce Travel Time and Strengthen Economic Connectivity

Islamabad: With effective institutional support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), work to improve Pakistan’s transport infrastructure and expand the national motorway network is progressing rapidly.

Under the vision of nationwide economic integration, construction activity on the M-12 Sambrial–Kharian and M-13 Kharian–Rawalpindi motorway projects has been accelerated. These projects are expected to become an important milestone in strengthening regional connectivity.

According to SIFC, the highway projects are designed not only to reduce travel time but also to make the country’s commercial freight and logistics system faster and more efficient.
