Islamabad (Commerce Desk) — The government has announced a reduction in petroleum product prices on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, providing relief to the public.
According to the announcement, petrol price has been reduced by Rs 6 per litre, while diesel price has been cut by Rs 6.80 per litre.
Sources said that despite fluctuations in global oil prices, the decision to reduce local fuel prices was taken to provide relief to the public.
The new prices will come into effect after midnight, and a formal notification will be issued in this regard.
It is worth mentioning that petroleum prices had also been reduced earlier by the government.
