Petroleum prices revised: Light diesel becomes expensive, kerosene reduced

Islamabad (Commerce Desk) – The government has once again revised petroleum product prices, increasing the price of light diesel while reducing the price of kerosene oil.

According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of kerosene oil has been reduced by 4 rupees 45 paise, after which the new price has been set at 360 rupees 76 paise per liter.

On the other hand, the price of light diesel has been increased by 17 rupees 3 paise per liter, raising the new price to 287 rupees 54 paise per liter.

Earlier, the government had also increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel the previous night. According to the notification, the price of high-speed diesel was increased by 19 rupees 39 paise, after which the new price was set at 399 rupees 58 paise per liter.

Similarly, the price of petrol was increased by 6 rupees 51 paise, taking the new price to 399 rupees 86 paise per liter.

Authorities said that the revised prices came into effect from 12 midnight on May 1.
