Islamabad — On the joyous and historic occasion of Independence Day, the families of Pakistan’s martyrs continue to demonstrate an unwavering spirit of patriotism. They say that the soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces sacrificed their present for the country’s security and the nation’s brighter future, writing a glorious chapter in history.

The widow of Naik Ahmed Sharif Shaheed, who embraced martyrdom in the Leepa Sector of Azad Kashmir on August 7, 2021, expressed her emotions on Independence Day. She said that despite the pain of losing her husband, she remains proud that Allah Almighty blessed him with the honour of martyrdom.

“The Sacred Blood of the Martyrs Will Never Be Wasted”

The widow of Naik Ahmed Sharif Shaheed said:

“Since my husband’s martyrdom, I spend every August 14 offering special prayers for all the martyrs. All the martyrs sacrificed their blood to safeguard our homeland.”

She also delivered a special message to the nation on Independence Day:

“I appeal to the entire nation never to forget the sacrifices of the martyrs and to play its fullest role in protecting, building and developing our homeland. The sacrifices made by Pakistan’s Armed Forces in defence of the country will always live on.”
