Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day: Quran Recitation and Prayers Held at Mosques Across the Country

Start of the Day: On the occasion of Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, Quran recitation ceremonies were held at mosques across the country after Fajr prayers.

Special Prayers: Congregations offered prayers for Pakistan’s security, economic stability, development, peace and national unity.

Tribute to Sacrifices: Religious scholars highlighted the historic struggle for independence and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs of the Pakistan Movement and the defenders of the country.

Prayers for Pakistan’s Security and Prosperity at Fajr Gatherings

Islamabad — Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day is being observed today with national enthusiasm and traditional dignity. The day began with Quran recitation and special prayers at mosques across the country, including the federal and provincial capitals.

Following Fajr prayers, worshippers prayed for Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, economic stability, peace and security, and unity among the Muslim Ummah.

Tribute to the Martyrs and Veterans of the Pakistan Movement

During the solemn gatherings, religious scholars and prayer leaders highlighted the historical significance of Independence Day and the struggle that led to the creation of Pakistan.

Speakers said:

“The creation of Pakistan is the result of the enduring sacrifices of our forefathers. Today, we must honour the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Movement and reaffirm our solidarity with those who have sacrificed their lives defending the homeland.”
