Pakistan Navy and PMSA Achieve Major Success: Wreckage of Missing Cargo Aircraft Recovered

Wreckage found 53 nautical miles south of Ormara after a 12-hour operation; search for crew continues

Karachi: The Pakistan Navy and the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) have successfully located the wreckage of a privately operated cargo aircraft that went missing over the sea during a joint and highly complex search operation. The recovery was made after more than 12 hours of continuous search efforts.

According to the spokesperson, the aircraft wreckage was found in deep waters approximately 53 nautical miles south of Ormara along the coast of Balochistan.

Details of the Search and Rescue Operation

Following the discovery of the wreckage, all efforts are now focused on locating the missing crew members and recovering additional evidence.

• Deployment of Assets: Advanced naval vessels and aerial assets of the Pakistan Navy and PMSA remain deployed in the designated search area.
• Search for the Crew: Rescue operations are continuing without interruption to locate and recover the missing crew members.
• Evidence Recovery: Technical evidence and additional aircraft debris are being recovered to help determine the cause of the accident.

"The Pakistan Navy and PMSA's naval and air units are utilizing all available resources. The search, inspection, and rescue operation will continue until its logical conclusion," said the Pakistan Navy spokesperson.
