Bajaur / Peshawar (Web Desk) — Security forces have reported a major breakthrough during Operation "11 Garj," an ongoing campaign aimed at restoring peace and eliminating militant threats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As part of intelligence-based operations conducted over the past two months, security forces targeted and destroyed what they described as key militant hideouts in the Shakro area of Bajaur district.

According to security sources, several militants were killed or injured during the operation, while a number of alleged facilitators were also taken into custody.

Intelligence-Based Operation in Shakro and Weapons Recovery

Security sources said the operation was launched after receiving intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the Shakro area.

During the operation, forces reportedly recovered a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which were subsequently destroyed at the site.

Use of Quadcopters and Modern Operational Tactics

  • Drone and Quadcopter Surveillance: Alongside ground operations, quadcopters were used to monitor the movement of suspected militants.
  • Militants Forced to Retreat: According to security sources, the operation prevented the militants from using local residents as hostages, forcing them to flee the area.

Protection of Civilians and Continued Security Operations

Security officials emphasized that protecting civilian lives and property remained a key priority throughout the operation.

They added that security operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would continue without interruption until militant groups are dismantled and lasting peace is established in the region.
