Nadia Khan’s advice not to show sacrifice to children sparks debate on social media

Nadia Khan’s advice not to show sacrifice to children sparks debate on social media

Lahore (Showbiz Desk) — Pakistani actress and host Nadia Khan has once again become the center of discussion on social media due to her statement.

On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, when Muslims were performing the ritual sacrifice as part of Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim, Nadia Khan advised parents not to show the act of sacrifice to young children.

She said that exposing young children to the sight of animals being slaughtered may affect their mental state and could lead to insensitivity toward animals, so parents should exercise caution.

Following her statement, opinions on social media became divided. Some users agreed with Nadia Khan, saying that children’s psychological development and sensitivity should be taken into account.

On the other hand, many users criticized her stance, saying that the act of sacrifice is connected to Islamic history and the great sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and Prophet Ismail (peace be upon him), so it should not be hidden from children.

After this debate on social media, the issue has turned into a wider public discussion.
