US President Donald Trump has hit back at critics of a potential new pact with Iran, revealing that no one has yet seen the official draft of the agreement. Dismissing premature opposition, President Trump emphasized that comprehensive negotiations are still ongoing and urged the public to ignore critics who are commenting without knowing the facts.
A Stark Contrast to the Obama-Era Nuclear Deal
Drawing a sharp line between his administration and the past, Trump fiercely criticized former President Barack Obama's approach to Tehran. According to Trump, the previous administration handed over massive amounts of cash to Iran while leaving a clear path open for the regime to acquire nuclear weapons.
"Our deal will look nothing like the Obama-era agreement; it will be the exact opposite," Trump asserted.
Commitment to a Superior Agreement
Defending his track record as a negotiator, the US President assured that any future framework would heavily safeguard interests. "I don’t make bad deals," Trump stated, adding that if a final agreement with Iran is reached, it will be highly favorable, robust, and appropriate.
