Karachi (Showbiz Desk) Reports about a possible drama based on the life of Anmol, popularly known as Pinky, have sparked a fresh debate across social media platforms.
According to media reports, a private television network’s production house is considering producing a drama inspired by Anmol Pinky’s life story, with renowned actress Saba Qamar reportedly being considered for the lead role.
Reports further claim that a photograph related to the project has surfaced, showing Saba Qamar alongside producers Asad Qureshi and Abdullah Kadwani. Sources suggest that work on the project may begin soon, while some reports have also named journalist Shahzeb Khanzada as the potential writer of the drama.
However, no official announcement has yet been made by any of the parties reportedly associated with the project.
Meanwhile, a large number of social media users have criticized the proposed drama. Critics argue that it may not be appropriate to produce a drama on a matter that is still subject to ongoing legal proceedings.
Some users have also questioned why greater attention is not being given to historical, literary, and intellectual figures such as Fatima Jinnah, Bano Qudsia, and Arifa Syeda, instead of focusing on controversial personalities.
On the other hand, fans of Saba Qamar appear enthusiastic about the potential project. They believe that her strong acting abilities would enable her to portray the role effectively and that the drama could achieve popularity similar to her previous successful productions.
