Diljit Dosanjh reacts to political controversies

Mumbai (Showbiz Desk)Global Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has responded for the first time to the political controversies and slogans related to Khalistan during his Canada tour, saying that he faces different types of allegations wherever he goes.

During his “Aura World Tour,” Diljit Dosanjh has been performing in various cities across North America, where he is receiving strong support from fans, while also facing criticism from political and social circles.

Addressing a large crowd during a concert in Canada, he said that different kinds of accusations are made against him, and at times he himself finds it difficult to understand the environment he is placed in.

Diljit said he wants to continue his journey through love, culture, and art. The atmosphere at the concert became more energetic when fans chanted “Punjabi aa gaye oye,” which he acknowledged with a smile, appreciating the enthusiasm of the youth.

Previously, his concert in Calgary was briefly interrupted due to protests by pro-Khalistan supporters.

Diljit Dosanjh is also set to perform in several cities in the United States and will appear in director Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film “Wapas Aaunga,” alongside Naseeruddin Shah. The film’s music has been composed by A. R. Rahman and is scheduled for release on June 12, 2026.
