Children’s condition worsens after stomach worm medicine in Chilas, shifted to hospital

Islamabad (Health Desk) In educational institutions of Chilas, more than 20 children suddenly fell ill after taking medicine given for the prevention of stomach worms, following which they were immediately shifted to the hospital.

According to Medical Superintendent of the Regional Hospital Dr. Nawab Khan, the children developed fear and psychological stress after taking the medicine, which affected their health.

He said that after timely medical treatment, the condition of most children has improved and they have been sent home, while the remaining children are also now out of danger.

Dr. Nawab Khan appealed to parents to educate children about such medicines so that fear and misconceptions can be avoided.

According to the district administration, the medicine was administered in different government schools of Satellite Town, after which the incident occurred.
