Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti Rejects Anti-State Propaganda
Quetta — Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti participated in a session of the Summer Internship Programme 2026, where he addressed thousands of students from across Pakistan. More than 6,150 students from 21 stations across the country participated in the programme both online and in person.
During the session, the Chief Minister spoke openly about law and order in Balochistan, Fitna al-Hindustan, anti-state propaganda, the situation along the Afghan border and good governance.
Countering Fitna al-Hindustan and Anti-State Narratives
Addressing the students, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the government was working with security forces through a coordinated strategy to promote development and sustainable peace in Balochistan.
Countering Terrorism: He said that Fitna al-Hindustan and other militant elements were attempting to create instability in Balochistan through violence, but their efforts would not succeed.
Use of Human Rights Issues: He alleged that sensitive issues, including missing persons, were being used to construct anti-state narratives and promote violent activities.
Security Strategy: He stated that the Government of Balochistan and the Pakistan Armed Forces were working through a coordinated strategy against terrorism and separatist elements.
Message to Afghanistan: He urged the Afghan interim government to fulfill its international commitments and prevent anti-Pakistan elements operating from Afghan territory.
Balochistan’s Future and Its Connection with Pakistan
The Chief Minister urged young people to rely on truth and verified information rather than propaganda circulating on social media.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that a popular narrative is not necessarily a truthful one and emphasized that standing with Pakistan means standing with what he described as the truth. He maintained that Balochistan’s future is linked with Pakistan and that the development, prosperity and security of the Baloch people depend on a strong and stable Pakistan.
He further stated that efforts to weaken Pakistan through separatist narratives would not succeed.
