A Changing, Improving and Stronger Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Following the imposition of governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the new provincial administration is taking all possible measures to improve public facilities.

According to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government sources, the cleanliness drive in Dera Ismail Khan has moved beyond announcements and has become a regular daily operation.

“The people have not witnessed garbage being cleared from the city’s markets, streets and drains on such a large scale in the past 13 years,” government sources said.

They added that during the PTI-led provincial government, drains remained clogged and markets were often filled with garbage, whereas additional staff and machinery are now actively engaged in cleaning operations.

Special attention is being given to commercial centres and main roads. Alongside the cleanliness drive, work to improve the overall condition of the city is also underway, an effort that residents are reportedly appreciating.
