Ziarat Tragedy Sit-In: Crucial Round of Talks Begins Between Government and Victims’ Families

Quetta (Web Desk): A crucial round of negotiations has begun in Quetta between the government delegation, the families affected by the Ziarat tragedy, and members of the sit-in committee to make progress on their demands. Senior political leaders from both sides are present at the negotiating table in an effort to end the ongoing protest in the provincial capital and address the concerns of the bereaved families.

According to Babar Yousafzai, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Balochistan on Home Affairs, talks between the government delegation and the sit-in committee have formally started and have now entered a highly important stage.

Key Figures Participating in the Negotiations

Considering the seriousness of the situation, influential and senior representatives from both sides have been included in the talks.

Members of the Government Delegation:

Provincial ministers Mir Ziaullah Langau, Mir Sadiq Umrani, Bakht Muhammad Kakar, Mir Saleem Khosa, and Asim Kurd Gelo.

Parliamentary and political leaders, including Member of the Provincial Assembly Asfandyar Kakar, Senator Manzoor Kakar, Bilal Kakar, and other prominent figures.

Representatives of the Sit-In Committee and Victims’ Families:

Nationalist and religious leaders, including Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, Asghar Khan Achakzai, Agha Hassan Baloch, Maulana Abdul Qadir Luni, and other senior representatives.

Progress on Judicial Commission and Other Demands

Babar Yousafzai told the media that the government delegation had briefed the victims’ families and the sit-in committee in detail about the progress made so far on the establishment of a judicial commission and other key demands.

The government is making efforts to immediately address all constitutional and legal demands and satisfy the protest participants so that peace and public order can be maintained across the province.
