QUETTA: Business skills competitions have officially been launched in Balochistan under the Balochistan Youth Socio-Economic Development Program, aiming to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and professional skills among young people across the province.
According to sources, the competitions are being organized by the Directorate of Youth Affairs Balochistan, with nearly 600 students from universities across the province participating in the event.
During the competitions, students are presenting their business ideas, marketing strategies, and product development skills.
Officials said the winning team will receive a cash prize of PKR 300,000 along with a trophy, while runner-up teams will be awarded PKR 200,000. Individual participants securing top positions will also receive cash prizes of up to PKR 60,000.
Director Youth Affairs Ilyas Baloch stated that the program has been included in the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) under the provincial youth policy on the special directives of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
He said empowering youth is a key part of the provincial government’s vision.
According to Ilyas Baloch, the youth policy will help strengthen young people politically, socially, and economically.
He added that the youth of Balochistan possess immense talent and only need better opportunities to excel.
“A single good idea can bring a major change; young people should believe in their dreams,” he said.
