University of Gwadar Vice Chancellor, Pro-VC, and Faculty Abducted at Gunpoint in Mastung

In a highly concerning security breach, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar, along with three others, was abducted by unidentified armed men in the Mastung district of Balochistan on Thursday.

Details of the Incident

According to local reports and security sources, Vice Chancellor Professor Abdul Razzaq Sabir, Pro-Vice Chancellor Saeed Manzoor Ahmed, Lecturer Shakeel Ahmed, and their driver were traveling for official university business when they were intercepted.

Witnesses suggest that armed men on four motorcycles signaled the official vehicle to stop in a sensitive area of Mastung. The victims were then forcibly moved to an undisclosed location at gunpoint.


Security Response and Search Operation

The brazen abduction of high-ranking academic officials has sparked panic across the region. Immediately following the report:


Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) have cordoned off the area.

Snap-checking and blockades have been established on all major entry and exit points of Mastung.

A high-level search operation is currently underway to track the kidnappers and ensure the safe recovery of the hostages.
