QUETTA: Pakistan Railways has suspended train services from Balochistan to upcountry for two days due to unavoidable circumstances, officials said.
According to railway authorities, the decision has been taken to temporarily halt train operations from Balochistan, resulting in the cancellation of the Jaffar Express from Quetta to Peshawar on May 18 and 19.
Officials said that during this period, the Jaffar Express operating from Peshawar to Quetta will run only up to Jacobabad and will return from there instead of proceeding to Quetta.
Railway sources added that the Bolan Mail service from Quetta to Karachi and the Chaman Passenger train service have already been suspended earlier.
Authorities did not provide further details regarding the reasons behind the suspension but said the situation was being monitored and updates would be shared accordingly.
