Quetta: A highly tragic and heartbreaking incident has occurred in Balochistan, where a man named Muhammad Asif allegedly killed his children and then committed suicide. In a video recorded before his death, Muhammad Asif revealed that some of his neighbors had been severely harassing and troubling him, due to which he was forced to take this extreme step.
Special Assistant Babar Yousafzai, in a special video statement, said that the Government of Balochistan has taken immediate notice of the incident and has initiated strict action. Police have arrested the nominated suspects, and a detailed investigation into the matter is ongoing. A government employee named in the case has also been immediately suspended from service by the Government of Balochistan.
“Women and daughters are our red line; there will be no compromise on harassment.”
Babar Yousafzai appealed to the public that in cases of harassment, blackmail, or oppression, people should approach the government instead of taking the law into their own hands or resorting to despair and suicide.
“The clear instructions of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti are that our mothers, sisters, and daughters are our ‘red line.’ Their protection and dignity will not be compromised. If any criminal or inhuman person harasses our women, they will face exemplary punishment.”
Chief Minister and Interior Ministry complaint cells activated
Citizens have been urged to register complaints on the following platforms for assistance and swift justice:
- Chief Minister Complaint Cell: The Chief Minister of Balochistan personally oversees this cell, and immediate action is taken on every citizen’s complaint.
- Ministry of Interior Complaint Cell: This cell for law and order and the elimination of harassment is also active 24/7.
Babar Yousafzai further stated: “Your life is extremely valuable, and the protection of citizens is the top responsibility of the provincial government. If there is any issue at the workplace or in society, raise your voice to the government. We stand with you, and strict action will be taken according to the law
