Nushki, Balochistan: According to reports, armed elements linked to the proscribed BLA set multiple trucks on fire in the Nushki area. Local sources claim that the trucks belonged to Baloch traders who allegedly refused to pay extortion money.
Following the incident, serious concern has emerged among the trader community and transporters. Business circles say such attacks are directly harming ordinary citizens of Balochistan, as well as traders and families dependent on daily livelihoods.
Observers note that such actions contradict claims that the banned organization is acting in the interest of the Baloch people. Traders argue that if local people’s vehicles, businesses, and livelihoods are not safe, such activities represent fear, extortion, and economic destruction rather than any form of liberation.
The affected traders have urged the government and security agencies to ensure protection of trade routes, transporters, and the local business community.
