Three Bodies Recovered in Gwadar and Kech, Tribal Leader’s Son Injured in Dera Bugti Attack
QUETTA: Three bodies were recovered in separate incidents in Gwadar and Kech districts of Balochistan, while a tribal leader’s son was injured in a shooting attack in Dera Bugti, according to police and local officials.
In the first incident, police in Pasni, Gwadar district, recovered two bodies near Charbandan Cross on the Makran Coastal Highway after receiving information from local residents.
The deceased were identified as Professor Muhammad Siraj Kalonchi and Sardal. Police said unidentified assailants allegedly shot the victims before abandoning their bodies at the site and fleeing the area.
The bodies were shifted to a local hospital for legal formalities and were later handed over to the families of the deceased.
In a separate incident, police recovered the body of Attaullah from the Dasht Khadan area of Kech district on Saturday. Authorities transferred the body to a hospital before handing it over to relatives after completing necessary procedures.
Law enforcement agencies have launched investigations into both incidents to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths and identify those responsible.
Meanwhile, in Dera Bugti district, unidentified armed men opened fire on the residence of a tribal leader in the Lanjo Saffari area of Shakh No. 2, injuring his son.
Police officials said the injured individual was shifted for medical treatment, while security personnel initiated an investigation into the attack.
Authorities have not yet announced any arrests in connection with the incidents.
