The government has decided to disburse salaries and pensions to government employees and pensioners in advance on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

The government has decided to disburse salaries and pensions to government employees and pensioners in advance on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification regarding the early payment of salaries and pensions for May 2026. According to the notification, government employees and pensioners will receive their payments on May 22 in view of Eid-ul-Adha.

The Ministry of Finance stated that Eid-ul-Adha is expected to fall on May 27 or 28, 2026, and the payments will be made under the federal government’s Receipts and Payments Rules 2025.

Instructions have also been issued to the Controller General of Accounts to ensure the timely and early disbursement of salaries and pensions.
