LASBELA: In a major step aimed at strengthening trade and exports in Southern Balochistan, the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), along with senior officials from TDAP and the Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Company (PHDEC), visited the Lasbela Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) to establish a dedicated TDAP and PHDEC Help Desk.
The delegation was received by LCCI President and Hub Salt CEO Ismail Sattar, while Deputy Commissioner Hub Jumadad also attended the meeting.
During the discussions, both sides focused on providing strategic support to nearly 300 local companies operating in the Lasbela Industrial Zone and Marble City, as well as exporters associated with the agriculture and horticulture sectors in Southern Balochistan.
Before the meeting, TDAP officials toured the Hub Salt Industry, where Ismail Sattar shared insights regarding the economic and trade potential of Balochistan, particularly in the minerals sector.
Highlighting the industrial significance of the region, Sattar said Hub alone contributes around Rs480 billion to the national tax collection.
Officials from TDAP, PHDEC, and the Lasbela Chamber agreed to formulate a joint action plan aimed at promoting exports and economic growth through public-private collaboration.
The initiative is being viewed as a significant development for unlocking Balochistan’s industrial, agricultural, and export potential.
