Talks with Government Delegation Successful: Balochistan Traders Association Calls Off August 7–8 Shutter-Down Strike

Quetta (Web Desk): The Balochistan Traders Association has officially withdrawn its call for a shutter-down strike scheduled for August 7 and 8 following successful negotiations with the provincial government.

Key Meeting Between Government Delegation and Traders

A high-level government delegation, led by Balochistan Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove, held detailed talks with office-bearers of the Balochistan Traders Association. During the meeting, both sides discussed the issues faced by the business community at length, after which the traders decided to call off the strike.

The government delegation included:

• Mehrullah Badini – Deputy Commissioner, Quetta
• Major (Retd.) Bashir Barich – Administrator, Quetta

Progress on Traders’ Demands

During the negotiations, the government assured the traders that their legitimate concerns and issues would be addressed on a priority basis.

• Business activities to continue normally: Following the withdrawal of the strike call, all markets and commercial centers across Balochistan, particularly in Quetta, will remain open and operate as usual on August 7 and 8.
