Peshawar (Balochistan News)In the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan, a suicide blast carried out using a vehicle laden with explosives in a market resulted in injuries to 14 civilians, including 4 children.
According to the administration of the District Headquarters Hospital Wana, all the injured were immediately shifted to the hospital where they are being provided medical treatment. Among the injured is an 8-year-old girl, and all victims belong to the same area.
Officials said the incident took place on the evening of May 4, after which security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
According to sources, similar attacks in the past have also caused civilian casualties, including children.
Security experts say such attacks are aimed at spreading fear and disrupting daily life in the region; however, security measures are further strengthened after such incidents.
