Rawalpindi, June 5, 2026: Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur district of Balochistan on June 3–4, targeting reported presence of terrorists linked to an Indian proxy network.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security personnel effectively engaged multiple terrorist hideouts during the operation. After an intense exchange of fire, six terrorists were neutralized.
Weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and a vehicle were recovered from the site. The militants were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.
ISPR stated that sanitization operations are currently underway to clear the area of any remaining elements and ensure complete elimination of threats.
The statement added that the counter-terrorism campaign under “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
